Mr. Lal has conceptualized and led campaigns and teams on local and global environmental issues, climate change, and planetary health for the past 25 years. He possesses in-depth knowledge of science, policy, and practice covering domains of health, climate change, environment, and development. He is the speaker and guest faculty at leading institutions on environment and climate change. He has over 40 publications on public health and environment in peer-reviewed journals. Moreover, he is the author of two best-selling natural history books, Indica- A Deep Natural History of the Indian sub-continent (2016) and Invisible Empire: the natural history of viruses (2021).
