Dr. Dipankar Ghose

Dr. Dipankar Ghose brings a wealth of 25 years of conservation management experience to our team. Currently serving as the Director of Wildlife & Habitats Programme at WWF India, he leads the organization’s largest programme spanning 15 states and 2 Union Territories. Driven by his passion for wildlife conservation, he supervises both technical and administrative aspects, collaborating closely with governmental bodies, scientific institutions, NGOs, and local communities.

With a primary focus on preserving India’s rich biodiversity, Dr. Ghose spearheads initiatives for the protection of iconic species like tigers, elephants, rhinoceros, red pandas, Nilgiri tahr, and snow leopards. His role extends to policy dialogues with government stakeholders, particularly in the realms of infrastructure and biodiversity conservation.
