Dr Chanchal Bhattacharya
Dr. Chanchal Bhattacharya is a highly dedicated and experienced Global Health, Veterinary Public Health, Animal Health, and One Health expert. With a focus on zoonotic diseases and food safety, Dr. Bhattacharya plays a crucial role in animal disease control, zoonotic disease management, and food safety issues in the National Capital of India. With extensive training in veterinary epidemiology, food safety management systems, and intersectoral coordination in human and livestock health, Dr. Bhattacharya brings a wealth of expertise to his work. He has actively contributed to national initiatives, including the Roadmap of Zoonosis in India, and serves as a state representative in the Integrated Disease Surveillance Project by the Government of India. As a collaborative member of the Centre for Public Health Research at MANT, an invited faculty at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and a nodal officer for zoonotic and infectious diseases in the Government of Delhi’s Animal Husbandry department, Dr. Bhattacharya continues to make significant contributions in transboundary disease control, zoonotic diseases, and urban zoonosis.
